It’s common knowledge that Filipinos are a close-knitted bunch. We place very high value to family and friends. And McDonald’s knows this. For years, they have continuously given us heartwarming TV Ads that focus on Love, Family, and Friendship. With their latest commercial, they take us back to the time when we were children and lovingly cared by our dear grandmothers.
I do miss my grandmother whenever I watch this ad. It brings back sweet memories… 🙂
Okay, this just got me excited!
Today is an awesome day. Not only did ARCHANGEL’S LEGION receive a starred review from Publishers Weekly that calls the book “intense, vivid, and sexually charged”, I have the okay to announce the title and blurb for Psy-Changeling #13. (Please share).

SHIELD OF WINTER by Nalini Singh
Coming June 2014
“The alpha author of paranormal romance” (Booklist) draws us back into her extraordinary Psy-Changeling world, a world torn between violence and peace, passion and ice…
Assassin. Soldier. Arrow. That is who Vasic is, who he will always be. His soul drenched in blood, his conscience heavy with the weight of all he’s done, he exists in the shadows, far from the hope his people can almost touch—if only they do not first drown in the murderous insanity of a lethal contagion. To stop the wave of death, Vasic must complete the simplest and most difficult mission of his life.
For if the Psy race is to survive, the empaths must wake…
Having rebuilt her life after medical “treatment” that violated her mind and sought to stifle her abilities, Ivy should have run from the black-clad Arrow with eyes of winter frost. But Ivy Jane has never done what she should. Now, she’ll fight for her people, and for this Arrow who stands as her living shield, yet believes he is beyond redemption. But as the world turns to screaming crimson, even Ivy’s fierce will may not be enough to save Vasic from the cold darkness…
Oooh Vasic! The best teleporter of the Arrows. I’ve always seen him as an enigma. In the latest published book (Heart of Obsidian, this book blew me away. I can’t stop thinking about it for days!), it was mentioned that he’s beyond redemption. And that the other Arrows should kill him when the time comes. I already knew that there’ll be more about him. And now, here’s his own story! *sigh* June is so far away 😦

I had fun reading this. Lol!
When the baby was only a month or so old everyone kept saying, “Oh wow, he looks like your husband. He looks so much like your husband!” And now he is six months old and at a family gathering the other day I had at least 10 people say that he looked exactly like me.
And here is the thing: No. He doesn’t. He doesn’t look exactly like me because I am not a small, fat, round-headed baby. At one month he did not look “so much” like my husband because my husband is not a tiny, shriveled alien-like creature with no hair who constantly cries. I cannot even stress how much he didn’t look like my husband. If the baby had committed a crime at that age (let’s say he robbed some old women) and was brought into the police station for a lineup next to a bunch of…
